Honey Oat Biscuits
Honey Oat Biscuits
Adding oats to your diet is a healthy way to get more fibre, magnesium, iron, zinc, folate, protein, and more. Also, just like raw honey, oats are an excellent source of antioxidants. For this recipe, we used Raw Artisan Honey Rape Blossom Honey, that has a delicious taste and a smooth, creamy texture.
Rapeseed oil is rich Q3, an element extremely important for bone development and the treatment of osteoporosis. It also helps the regeneration and elasticity maintenance of vascular walls. Rape honey consumption protects the liver, the spleen and the pancreas.
It is recommended for heartburn sufferers due to its very low acidity.
Ingredients: (to make approx. 30 biscuits)
200gr porridge oats
150gr wholemeal flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 egg
3 tablespoons Raw Artisan Honey Rape Blossom Honey
100gr unsalted butter (room temperature!)
1 tablespoon coarsely ground walnuts (optional)
Preparation:
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
Mix the dry ingredients thoroughly in a large bowl. Add the egg, honey and butter. Mix until the dough becomes lumpy, then knead fully.
Make small balls of the dough and place them onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart. Flatten to about ¾’’ thickness. Bake 10-15 minutes or until golden brown. Take them out of the oven and leave in the pan for at least 5-10 minutes. Enjoy!
